by Hazel Straub Do you feel trapped by your circumstances or see yourself as a victim of things happening beyond your control? When you feel hopeless, fearful, and a victim, victory eludes you. However, when you agree with God, and see yourself in Christ, seated far above powers of darkness that Jesus defeated, your […]
This week’s declaration is based on John 4:18 and is: I am fearless, because of YHWH/God’s perfect love. This week’s exercise is the Four point lunge; which is a lunge to the front, another to the side, one to the back, followed by a curtsy lunge. You would then switch and do it on the other side. When performing the exercise, be sure to keep your knee and ankle aligned. For a demonstration of the exercise click here. As always, have an EXCELLENT week and I’ll be seeing you!
A friend of mine sent me a text at the end of last week, regarding a concern that the doctor had about her husband. I could tell by the tone of the text that I needed to seek YHWH/God on their behalf. I asked YHWH/God what was on His heart concerning this circumstance. He brought me to some bible verses; as well as gave other words of encouragement. I received a message today that all was well. It was not surprise to me at all, because God’s word is true and it is the law. Laws are constant and yield favorable results if you abide by it; and less than favorable results should you decide otherwise. She let me know of an issue that she was dealing with. Again, I went to my Father in prayer, asking Him for his heart on the matter; and He directed me to a verse; and prompted me to give them the book: “Of Monkeys and Dragons: Freedom From The Tyranny of Disease” by Michelle Longo O’Donnell.
I immediately got up to get the book so that I could take it to her later on. I began thumbing through and reading sections here and there. I then came to the part for the reason that she wrote the book, and felt that it is quite fitting for anyone who reads this post. I first read this book more than ten years ago, and it absolutely changed the way that I looked at disease. She tells about how she had had pneumonia for two weeks. She had come home, fell asleep and had a dream. She was walking along a path and noticed these monkeys that started biting her. She started jumping around to get them off of her. She heard a voice that said: “Don’t look at them. Look straight ahead down the path.” She was scared that they’d eat her; but she obeyed the voice. The monkeys froze. Whenever she looked at them they would bite; but whenever she focused on the path, they would freeze. As she continued down the path, she noticed two big dragons coming towards her. She was scared, but looked away anyway; and they too froze. When she woke up from the dream, all of the pneumonia symptoms were gone.
I thought this story was very fitting for now. If each person makes a decision to focus on the path that YHWH/God has designed his/her life, the fear-driven virus will become paralyzed and will not be able to touch you.
2 Corinthians 9:8 (TPT) – Yes, God is more than ready to overwhelm you with every form of grace, so that you will have more than enough of everything—every moment and in every way. He will make you overflow with abundance in every good thing you do.
2 Corinthians 9:10 – 11 (TPT) – This generous God who supplies abundant seed for the farmer, which becomes bread for our meals,is even more extravagant toward you. First he supplies every need, plus more. Then he multiplies the seed as you sow it, so that the harvest of your generosity will grow. 11 You will be abundantly enriched in every way as you give generously on every occasion, for when we take your gifts to those in need, it causes many to give thanks to God.
Psalm 84:11 – For the Lord God is brighter than the brilliance of a sunrise! Wrapping himself around me like a shield, he is so generous with his gifts of grace and glory. Those who walk along his paths with integrity will never lack one thing they need, for he provides it all!
2 Corinthians 9:8 says You give me way more than I need;
So that I can bless others (according to Genesis 12:2) and sow more seed.
You are so generous, you give me more than enough,
Wisdom, family & friends, food and cool stuff.
Direct me to the people who came to you in prayer,
And I thank you for the honor of being the answer you’d prepare.
In Yeshua’s name,
I felt that YHWH/God was leading our family in another direction concerning homeschooling. I heard the words: “Wholistic learning.” I began to research it and was lead to John 7:15b: The Jews were impressed, but puzzled: “How does he know so much without being schooled?” I had heard of unschooling before; but didn’t feel that it was for my family. This time, with the prompting of the Holy Spirit, I learned of Christian unschooling and life learning. Check out my video here, as I explain my findings; as well as share some of the pictures from our experiences from the past few weeks.
This week’s declaration is based on Romans 8:37-39: I am more than a conqueror through God who loves me. Nothing can separate me from His love.
I’m a bit of a planner; so nearly every Sunday, I write out a meal plan for the week…actually three. My husband likes his chicken, seafood and turkey. My children eat VERY little meat; and I don’t eat any. It’s pretty easy to manage. I can usually make “side” dishes that everyone likes; but no one (except me) likes red quinoa and kale. It is SO very good to me! I mix together sauteed mushrooms and kale, red quinoa and chikpeas. It’s easy to make, takes little time, very filling and it’s delicious (to me)! On these nights, I will usually make chicken, rice, broccoli and yams for my husband; and black beans (which my children love), rice, yams and broccoli for my children. Are there any other moms out there, preparing multiple meals?
As always, have an EXCELLENT rest of your week and I’ll see you around the blog!
Yours in Messiah,
This week’s declaration is based on Psalm 86:15: God is full of mercy, compassion, unfailing love and faithfulness towards me.

Yours In Messiah,
Psalm 121:7-8 (TPT) – He will keep you from every form of evil or calamity as he continually watches over you. 8 You will be guarded by God Himself. You will be safe when you leave your home and safely you will return. He will protect you now, and he’ll protect you forevermore!
Thank you for knowing that I would sometimes feel fear;
And for assuring me that, You’d always be here.
What a relief is Psalm 121: 7- 8…
It says: You guard me Yourself! This makes me feel great!
You promised to protect me wherever I go,
And it brings me comfort, just to know….
That you are the ultimate promise keeper.
In Yeshua’s name,
This week’s declaration is based on 1 Peter 5:6 -7: God cares for me and will lift me up in due time.
Have you ever tried bitter melon (aka bitter gourd) tea? It is NOT delicious. It is very bitter; but the taste came be made bearable by adding some honey to it. I’ve known about bitter melon and many of it’s benefits for a couple of years. I had a couple of close friends who dealt with diabetes consume it as a regular part of their diets. All four of them controlled their diabetes by taking bitter melon. I started drinking it just two weeks ago; when one of my sons got a cold. Not only is it beneficial for controlling diabetes, it’s also good for strengthening the immune system, dissolving kidney stones, lowering the bad cholesterol, and losing and maintaining weight among many other benefits. I’ve also noticed that it helps me to control cravings. So, if you’re looking for a more natural way to deal with any of the above ailments that I’ve mentioned, give this tea a try! I’ve actually adapted to the taste of it (with honey); and my kids actually like drinking it too.
As always, have an EXCELLENT rest of your week and I’ll see you around the blog.
Yours in Messiah,
Woohooo!! 100 followers!! Thank you to you all! I appreciate you! So it’s March already. February seemed to have gone by quickly; though it was filled with as many blessings as January. My favorite one this past month was when I was cleaning up the kitchen after breakfast, and the Father just made His presence known. It flooded my being and the kitchen. The concentration of love was so strong, that all I could do was weep. It is so precious to me, when God does that. Another blessing (that I almost missed out on) was going to South Carolina with my husband. Since the beginning of the year, I was feeling like it was time for me to start spending more 1-on-1 time with my husband away from home. It was very challenging for me, because we take our kids every where with us and we both LOVE being with them. When my eldest son (7 years) came up to me in the kitchen and said: “Mom, just you and Papa should go somewhere together and leave us with grandma. It’ll be good for just you guys to go without us. Besides you need time away from us; and we need time away from you guys…and grandma’s house is fun!” I was like: Ummm, wow…okay.
So, last week, my husband went out of town to look at expanding the business out to South Carolina. At first we were looking at FL because we wanted to spend our winters in a warm climate; however, it seems as though God had different plans. He and a very good friend of ours flew our airplane down. They left last Saturday; and he and our friend were going to fly the plane back on Wednesday. However, my husband ended up leaving the airplane and taking a commercial flight back home; due to unfavorable weather patterns in a couple of states. We decided on Thursday that we would go down over the weekend to take a look at the potential area that we would spend some of our upcoming winters; as well as to fly our airplane back home. I called my mom; and she was delighted to have the kids spend the entire weekend with her and Papa Jim. When I told the kids, they were SUPER-EXCITED, because in their words: “Grandma is the best!”
I was fine for a couple of moments…but then I realized that I would be leaving my children for TWO whole nights. They’ve stayed one night with Grandma; but my husband and I didn’t leave the state. I started to think, maybe I shouldn’t go; but I pushed through. When we arrived at Grandma and Papa Jim’s house on Friday evening, they were just returning from a day of shopping. They bought all the fruits and foods that the kids enjoy; as well as new games and toys. The grandparents and the kids were SO delighted! They barely even said goodbye. The kids were like: “Bye mommy and papa.” While the grandparents were like: “Have fun, we’ll see you when you get back.” We were like: Alrighty then.” We left there and went out to dinner and had a great time! We got up the next morning and caught our 7:27 am flight out. We toured the town in South Carolina; and I REALLY liked it! Three of the best things about it was the 70 degree temperature, sunshine and NO snow or ice!
My husband and I flew out on Sunday morning and we enjoyed every minute of it! I was happy to see my babies; and they were happy to see us…but they wanted to stay at Grandma’s and Papa Jim’s.
