This week’s declaration is based on Psalm 32:8 and is: YHWH/God will instruct and teach me in the way I should go; He will counsel me with His loving eye on me. Last night I asked God to give me instruction concerning a matter. I had a dream and then Psalm 32:8 was the first verse my eyes were drawn to this morning. I was beyond delighted because God is so very faithful in the plethora of ways that He answers our prayers.
The mobility exercise of the week is hip openers. Stand and lift one foot off of the floor, bending at the knee. Move the knee to the outside of the body in a circular motion. Click here for a demonstration. As always, YHWH/God bless you and have an excellent rest of your week!
This week’s declaration is based on Deuteronomy 31:8 and is: The Lord will lead me. He Himself is with me. He will not fail or leave me. I am worry-free and courageous! This powerful declaration is such a confidence booster and comfort.
The exercise of the week is a squat and push up combination for a warm up; or either for a workout. I use it for both. I love body weight exercises and feel that it’s advantageous to train the body as a unit, over training individual muscles….unless there is an injury or major muscle weakness/imbalance. I’ve included the exercises in this video. The declaration and demo is about two minutes. The additional eight minutes includes the full workout from ten squats and push ups, down to one of each. My two daughters are in the video with me. If nothing else, you’ll get a little laugh.
As always, have an EXCELLENT rest of your week; and remember that the joy of the Lord is your strength!
This week’s declaration is based on Psalm 6:9 (TPT): God hears my prayers and answers all of them.
This week’s wellness tip is to try a new piece of fruit. It is my (not-so-secret-anymore) dream to travel the world and eat fruit. I think I associate fruit with adventure. When I was a little girl, my mom always took my siblings and I to the fruit stand near where we lived in South Florida to try new fruit. I LOVED it and it is still one of my best childhood memories. I still really, Really, REALLY enjoy fruit to this very day. I’ve eaten everything from the usual apples, oranges and bananas, to tamarinds, sapodillas, lychees, quinces and everything in between. There are many foodies; but I am a self-proclaimed fruitie. I think I’m equally as fascinated with the fact that God created fruits and they’re so simple to eat, nutritious and absolutely delicious! I truly believe that He had me in mind when He was creating all of the different fruits.
If you try a new piece of fruit, let me know if you like it or not. As always, have an excellent rest of your week and I’ll be “seeing” you!
This week’s declaration is based on Romans 8:37-39: I am more than a conqueror through God who loves me. Nothing can separate me from His love.
I’m a bit of a planner; so nearly every Sunday, I write out a meal plan for the week…actually three. My husband likes his chicken, seafood and turkey. My children eat VERY little meat; and I don’t eat any. It’s pretty easy to manage. I can usually make “side” dishes that everyone likes; but no one (except me) likes red quinoa and kale. It is SO very good to me! I mix together sauteed mushrooms and kale, red quinoa and chikpeas. It’s easy to make, takes little time, very filling and it’s delicious (to me)! On these nights, I will usually make chicken, rice, broccoli and yams for my husband; and black beans (which my children love), rice, yams and broccoli for my children. Are there any other moms out there, preparing multiple meals?
As always, have an EXCELLENT rest of your week and I’ll see you around the blog!
This week’s declaration is based on 1 Peter 5:6 -7: God cares for me and will lift me up in due time.
Have you ever tried bitter melon (aka bitter gourd) tea? It is NOT delicious. It is very bitter; but the taste came be made bearable by adding some honey to it. I’ve known about bitter melon and many of it’s benefits for a couple of years. I had a couple of close friends who dealt with diabetes consume it as a regular part of their diets. All four of them controlled their diabetes by taking bitter melon. I started drinking it just two weeks ago; when one of my sons got a cold. Not only is it beneficial for controlling diabetes, it’s also good for strengthening the immune system, dissolving kidney stones, lowering the bad cholesterol, and losing and maintaining weight among many other benefits. I’ve also noticed that it helps me to control cravings. So, if you’re looking for a more natural way to deal with any of the above ailments that I’ve mentioned, give this tea a try! I’ve actually adapted to the taste of it (with honey); and my kids actually like drinking it too.
As always, have an EXCELLENT rest of your week and I’ll see you around the blog.
