We start our homeschool mornings with reading a chapter from the Bible. We’re coming through the book of proverbs; and week before last, one of the chapters talked about a person of integrity. As I explained integrity to my children, I gave an example of my husband as a person of integrity. I defined integrity as doing what you know is right; even when no one is there or isn’t looking; as well as keeping your word. I told them “if you say you’re going to do something, you do it!” Your word is everything; just like God’s. We would all be in big trouble, if God’s word was fickle & if He didn’t have integrity. As I was saying earlier, I used my husband as an example of a person with integrity….which prepares the way for today’s post.
On this Thanksgiving day…. and actually every day, I am SO very grateful for my husband. He is the most integrous person that I’ve ever known. He can always be trusted to do the right thing; & if he says he’s going to do something, you can rest assured that he will do it. He lives his life with conviction; and confidently takes on each day with his God-given purpose at the forefront of his mind. He exudes love for us (his family); & takes personal responsibility for impacting & improving our community & the world. Our family is very blessed to have him as our leader.
It is my hope that on this day and every day, that spouses see the very best in each other; as well as, thank God for the blessing of the person that they do life with. As always, thank you for taking the time to read my blog; & Happy Thanksgiving to all who are celebrating! For those who find this time of year challenging for whatever reason, may God be your comforter & the lifter of your head. Love & Blessings!!
